I dont know if anyone noticed, I had this same combination outfit a few months back. I just added and changed a few things about the previous look.

There is a little story behind these pictures. My hubby was a bit too busy this weekend and I didnt want to bother him. So I did the next best thing. I used my daughter who was suprisingly very excited to do so. Did I mention she is only 3 and a half years old lol. Like any other child, her attention span is less than 10 seconds. She was taking pictures everywhere else and not me and as soon as she got annoyed with the process, I had stop. I didnt want her to throw a tantrum and break my camera.lol. Anything is possible with this little mama. What do you think?

So I am now 1 month month natural and loving it even more. It can be a little more expensive than when I was having my hair relaxed. The biggest reason is because I was still trying to find what works well for my hair. Watching You tube videos has helped quite a bit but not everyone's hair's texture is the same so it can get frustrating and expensive.

Below are some of the products I use:

Shea butter leave in conditioner, olive oil deep contioner and shampoo, pantene conditioner,care and curl curl activator, shea butter oil moisturiser, ic fantasia styling gel, taliah waajid curling pudding

These are just some of the products I have been using continuously for about 2 weeks now. I will not even include all the other trials and errors of the past. I ordered my Ms Jessie curly pudding and still waiting. I hear it works wonders on natural hair. I must add the ic fantasia gel does wonders to my hair. it makes it curly and shiny and i love it.

I think its time for me to do some more protective styles and just enjoy my natural hair journey.

Hello everyone,
When I started this blog a while ago, I used to dedicate a day (specifically Fridays I believe) to talk about things other than fashion. I really would like to get back to writing again, because that is one of my passion. I'm still working on my writing skills by the way but that's of no hindrance to me.

As the topic suggests, today I'll be talking about relationship issues. By no means do I consider myself a relationship expert or some kind of therapist or psychologist. I will just like to share with you what I have experienced in the past and what some of my girlfriends have shared about their different encounters in their own individual relationships.

Have you ever been so head over heels for a guy but something in the back of your mind either question his motives or doubt if the feeling is mutual? There are definitely some obvious tell tale signs that some women and some men sometimes ignore either because they do not want to believe that is happening to them. In no specific order, below are some of the tell tale signs he is just not into you

1) He/She is always agitated or too busy to hold a conversation with you. I personally think that, once in a while people might be caught up in their daily endeavors and they might not truly have time to hold long conversations with you but if it is someone who truly cares for you he/she can do one or two things. Not lead you on by telling you that they are not ready for relationship because of how busy they are, or will make time to talk to you . Besides if you are into someone, you will want to get to know them, and I don't care what anyone says, life before you met that person was the same throughout the relationship and yet you made time for them.

2)He/She doesn't acknowledge you when you are in public. When someone is into you, they are proud to tell anyone they encounter who they are with. I don't care how private of a person you are.

3)He/She thinks buying you a gift or flowers is a waste money even though they are not flat broke. Honestly, material things are not that important. Some people don't like flowers. Still just having that mentality usually is a red flag.

4) He/She never wants to do anything for you. Self explanatory.

5)He/She doesn't support you in your dreams and aspirations. He/She finds your aspirations ridiculous and always has something negative to say when you bring up and idea. Basically it appears they never want to see you succeed.

6)He/She always has and explanation/reason as to why they are always right and why they didn't do something. Sometimes in a relationship, its all about compromise, and also accepting fault of certain actions or just agreeing that you are two different people and see things differently.

7)He/She openly/secretly dates other people or crosses boundaries with other people knowingly.Has no remorse when caught.

8)He/she never stands up for you or your relationship and always has an excuse why he/she doesn't.

9)Constantly arguing over the most insignificant things. Anything can spark up a disagreement that ends up being an argument.

10)Sometimes those arguments turn into physical, verbal and emotional abuse. Personally that's the ultimate sign he/she is not into you.

I believe I will stop here and I am very interested in everyone Else's opinion and or additional signs he is not into you. Ultimately if someone is into you, their ultimate goal is to see you happy even if they might not always on point. If you identify with more than half of this, I think there is really no need hanging in there. But if are accepting to alot of this situation, you will definitely need some counseling to help bring your self esteem back up.

Personally I wont wear this out. Its a bit too revealing "for a mother and wife" I guess but in fact certain details like the lace and the color combo will work for me. A great lace top and and turquoise skirt of your choice will work just fine. Another observation I made is that, Adrienne's verson seems like it will work for me better.

Oversized Trench Coat

So this natural hair journey has been an interesting one. For lack of a better adjective. My most frustrating part about this process is the dryness. I almost gave in the other day and go get a perm.

I co wash(no shampoo. just my conditioner) almost everyday). I know that using the eco styler gel can cause dryness. I dont know if the Care and Curl Curl activator is also contributing to the dryness but I stopped using it over the weekend.

I think that actually worked. My hair didnt get dry too quickly and I could feel the difference eliminating the curl activator.

I guess its a learning process. My hair seems unkempt in these pictures. Not to worry that was intentional lol.After I wash my hair I use a brush to make it more messy by rubbing the brush in circles all over my hair creating the messy look you see here. What do you think?

You can tell the sun was hurting my eyes. I should have worn the shades I brought. Oh well.

New Look!

So I finally did the "big chop". For those who do not know what that is, I cut off my hair(well not completely). I have been dying for the longest time to go natural and do the big chop and I always chickened out of it. So last Saturday, I made a decision and had my husband cut it all off. Like any man, he was really concerned if that was what I wanted to do and of course I insisted. I think his major worry was that I was going to blame him if I didn't like the look.

So after much convincing (and almost signing a contract stating if anything goes wrong its not his fault), he finally did it for me.

I'm not going to lie. I was terrified of looking at the mirror. I ran my fingers through my hair and it made me nervous yet excited.I couldn't believe it at first but every time I looked at the mirror, it was an affirmation that I did the right thing.

I don't know about everyone else who did the big chop, but for some odd reason, I expected that on day one, my hair will be become curly after the condition. WRONG!!!! I did a "twist out" the first day. EPIC FAIL. I started doubting myself if I was doing the right thing. One thing I forgot to realize is that, those girls on YouTube either have different hair texture, use certain products that work for their hair and most importantly have been doing this for a long time. Yea, I started second guessing myself, if this was the right thing I did lol

So what have I been using so far on my hair? Honestly, I never had a list of specific products. I knew I needed a conditioner, shea butter, and moisturizer. So I bought Pantene Pro-v leave in condition. I had some african raw shea butter(bought it a while ago and used on my daughter's hair), care and curl curl activator. The care and curl activator actually works. I can see little curls forming already in my hair which is great.

One thing that I really hate the most about this process is the dryness of my hair. I feel like I have to go swim in an ocean to get my hair soft. Other than that, I'm loving it. I might be getting it braided soon though, cause I would like the length a little longer.

Pregnancy Style:Beyonce

I am one of the biggest Beyonce fans. This lady is talented beyond believe. and because of that she gets a lot of backlash from things she does. I guess when you are talked about, then you must stand for something.

There has been alot of hoopla about her pregnancy and honestly, I really don't care if she is faking it or not. Its her body, its her money, its her life. Either way I wish her the best and a save delivery.

I have been reading a lot of blogs on celebrity news and I have noticed her fashion sense has changed, for obvious reasons.

I think she has a couple of misses but more hits. So what's your opinion?

Saw this tuxedo top on Lala and always wanted to do a DIY post on this but never got around to it. Then lately, I saw the same shirt on Khloe Kardashian.

I thought this will be a great time to do one. I searched the web for less expensive version(you know i'm all about savings. Got a baby to send to college in 15 years lol) and I couldnt find one. So when I do get around from my busy schedule, that involves, baby, household, school work and many more, I'll show you my actually product.

Check out what you will need below.

Instructions

a)Purchase a sheer button down shirt. Buy :here

b)You can either use an old white fabric at home or purchase one from a fabric store like Joanns. You will need needle and thread if sewing by hand or a sewing machine and a pair of scissors.

c)Cut out the shape of the white fabric as seen on the shirt Lala and Khloe are wearing.

d)dont forget to trace and cut out button holes on the white fabric.

e) Sew fabric onto sheer top and you are done. Please dont forget to use white thread or same color thread as the added fabric to the sheer shirt.

When I have done this, I have a more visual post on how to attain the look.

I'm so in love with this trend. This might have been going on for a long time but it has just recently caught my eye. Adding a faux fur stole to your simplest outfit can definitely add some glam and nebulosity. I recently bought one from H&M for $17, and two (black and pink) from a vintage store and they were the best accessories I ever bought.

I have been trying for a while now to put up a post on kids fashion. I mean, its only befitting because I am a mother of the most amazing 3 year old. I mostly inspired by different look books when it comes to style inspiration and that goes for my daughter as well. I check out look books on H&M, jcrew, Gucci, Chloe kids and so on to get inspiration. I don't have to buy expensive things to attain those looks, but I can definitely work out a style for less.

This is my baby girl over the summer, heading to a fashion show/ cultural day. She is wearing H&M from head to toe. I couldn't believe they had those glasses to in the kids section.

Beauty post

Im not a make up artist or aspire to be one but I wish to share with you my little make up regiment. Unlike most people, I do not use mac products. For some reason, it looks great when I wear any of their products but after a day or so, I start breaking out. I was visiting my aunt and uncle a few months ago and she did a facial for me using Mary Kay products.I tried their facial cleansers and what nots but that caused my face to break out.

What I noticed has really worked well for me is the Marykay foundation, loose powder and concealer. I rarely wear make up except on the weekends(if I am going to a party or something formal and sometimes church) and this has worked well for me.

I have always admired people with perfect eyebrows. I think when your eyebrows are done to your liking, everything things else on your face just flows. My personal favorite is the arched eyebrow. I'm working on a video now on what I have learned so far. Not an expert but I think I have improved with time.

I don't have a preference of what company makes what when it comes to eye shadows and Lipsticks. I already have so much at home, i don't know what to do with them. So I use whatever works for me.

Hello Fabulous ones,

I attended my nephew's 1st birthday party this Saturday and this is what I wore. By the way, I just got my hair braided and don't let the smile fool you. I was in excruciating pain but hey had to smile for the camera right? I have been trying to go natural since January of this year so braids and weave extensions have been my best friends. I love the braids better since they require very low maintenance.

Putting it up in a bun was such a painful process but I still love it.

I remember always turning on "Girlfriends" every week to watch "Joan" (Tracee Ellis Ross's character) and her stylish outfits. Not only was she an amazing lawyer(in the series) she was the friend everyone ran to for advice or when they needed anything.

Apparently Stacy Beverly is the costume stylist for the show as well as the stylist for the show "The Game" which I think she is doing a phenomenal job with that.

Not only is her personal style eclectic, I love her natural hair. I haven't shared this with you guys but I have been taken the afro-chic route for quite some time now. I haven't fully transitioned yet but I'm so ready for the big chop. Tracee and Solange Knowles have been my biggest inspirations.

63rd Annual Emmy Awards Fashion

I don't know if you watched the Emmy awards yesterday but it was quite interesting. It had its high moments(the musical) and lows(presenters trying to be funny :-() Well I was mostly interested by the fashion. Kerry Washington worn my best dressed award while Heidi Klum came in Second.

Al spring and summer I have been intrigued by bright colors and this right here got me inspired. Next dress I make or buy or have my cousin make will be in red. I just love Kerry's dress.

These were of a dull color which I try really hard to stay away from but don't these ladies look lovely.

Why I love Yellow

Solange Knowles is one stylish young lady. I don't know if this is intentional but her style is quite different from her sister's but yet very classy and elegant. I have noticed her in one of my favorite colors. Yellow.It looks so great on her skin and she knows how to wear it well I must say.

I know this isn't a yellow outfit/dress, but she looks so gorgeous I had to put this up.

My home office purchases

I went to Ross dress for less over the weekend just for the heck of it. No real reason. But I ended up purchasing things for my section of the home office. I already got stuff for my husband's home office but It was time for mine. Check out my purchases so far. Still more items to be bought.

This is supposed to be a "Jewelry holder" sorry if the hooks at the top of the "doll" are not clear or visible enough. I was a little skeptical about picking this up but just loved how it was dressed up. Who knows, I might decide to have a different use for it.

I have always wanted a mannequin but never got to buying one. I didn't think I will be getting the "wire" one but I took it anyways. lol Still beautiful. I can still hang jewelry on it. As you can see My daughter added a few touches to it. She put her headbands on there lol

Couldn't pass up this Audrey Hepburn frame. for only $19 I had to have it. I have been meaning to get when, just like other things, I just brush it off.

lol This isn't actually for me but will look great in the office because I'm sure this will be lurking around in there. My daughter picked this for herself and we had to get for her.

Style Crush:Val on "Single Ladies"

Was it just me or did the the show "Single Ladies" starring Stacy Dash just come to an abrupt end. I remember tuning in at 9pm on Monday a few weeks ago and it was a rerun. Lets just say I was livid. I then read recently that she will no longer be on season 2. Apparently she needs to spend more time with her kids and the location for the shoot wasn't working for her.I was really worried about this because she was the main reason I watched the show. I wonder who will be her replacement if there is a replacement at all

Anyways, like many of you may have noticed, Val (Stacy Dash's character on the show) had a great sense of style. I think she was my number one reason why I watched the show in the first place.

I realized I have not been reaching out to every body type of women and every gender on my blog and I would like to truly apologize. I actually had one of my cousins who actually reminded me of this and some of my friends. I'm one of the biggest procrastinator so I kept pushing this post and then eventually forget. I don't know about you but the highlight of last nights VMA was Beyonce showing off her baby belly to the world. I was beyond excited for the Carters. Apparently she had announced on the red carpet that she was but I didn't watch the pre show or the red carpet so this was a huge surprise for me. Its befitting to begin my best dressed list from last night with the glowing mummy to be even though I wasn't very impressed but a lot of the other celebrity.

I have been holding off on posting about Kim Kardashian's wedding all this while because I needed actual pictures of the wedding to put up a post. I don't know if I'll take the same route as she did with her maids of honor and bridesmaids wearing white and having white flowers but then again, that's what works for her and I am happy for her as well. I copped this pictures from People.com.

Looks like the groom wore a white suit for the ceremony. She had on a beautiful ball gown by Vera wang and actually changed two other time through out the ceremony. Her wedding colors were black and white. I think I have done enough talking, just look at the pictures lol.

Beautiful indeed. I wish them love and happiness for ever in their marriage. Marriage is a beautiful thing especially when you share it with someone you truly love.

I attended an all white party and this is what I wore. I couldnt come up with what to wear. I saw a nice jacket at a vintage store but I knew it was going to be hot, so i took off the sleeves and hemmed the rough edges.

I just realized how many posts I have with Kim Kardashian attached to it. Many people have a lot to say about the mistakes she has made in her life but I try not judge. Her personal life is exactly what its is, her personal life. Many times, those same people pointing fingers forget there are other fingers pointing at her.

On that note, I had a very interesting weekend with the Cameroonian student convention going on. I'm not going to like it was an ok event. Nothing personal besides just feeling out of place. Then again what do I expect. It was meant for students and no age group was specified. None the less I was happy seeing alot of people I know.

It was a four day event which started with a black and pink party on Thursday. (see post below). Then an all white party on Friday. The official gala on Saturday and a bbq on Sunday.

Up until 2 hours before the Saturday gala I didn't know what to wear and almost didn't attend the party. Fortunately for me, I found this beautiful coral dress/top from bcbg.

I wasn't very thrilled about the dress when I first had it on. My hair and make up wasn't done. Without the belt, it just seemed like an over sized top. I had no heels on. Yea I did put it back on the rack and leave the store for another store. Soon as I got to the other store, I couldn't help but go back for this coral top. lol.

While browsing the net this morning (whats new lol), I went to Kim Kardashian's website and saw this picture of her which looks similar to what I wore. Well color wise and the styling was similar.

The shoes matched the belt and clutch just like I did. Love the look.

Hello my lovelies,

Sorry about the lack of posts lately. I have been extremely busy with work, school family.Yea I tend to say that a lot or rather give that as an excuse every single time I am MIA. but its the truth nonetheless :-).

This entire week is dedicated to the Cameroonian Students in the USA. This is an opportunity to network with whatever business one has. Scholarship opportunities. Mingling and just having fun with one another. To start off the festivities, was the welcome party on Thursday which had a dress code of pink and black.

Ill be honest with you, i love shopping, but it can get really frustrating when nothing seems to capture your interest whatsoever. When I get into such feels I then decide to make a dress. I was actually inspired by the outfit Kim Kardashian wore to the Teen Choice Awards. yet I changed it up a bit to make my own. :-)

This time I actually didn't make the whole dress at the same time. I altered and old unflattering dress that I had made a while back and made it work for me. Check out the pic below for instructions. I want to also apologize for the quality in pictures. Those were take on my phone.

Very simple huh? This is how I accessorized the outfit at the party yesterday. And of cause couldn't miss out on a touch of yellow. GUILTY lol.

I might not have a lot of pictures of me wearing yellow outfits on my blog but yellow has turned out to be one of my favorite colors. A dear friend of mine told me to give a rest for a little bit then start back up again. I'm trying so hard to take on her advice but so far it has worked. I have always been comfortable wearing neutral colors. Since I'm on a "yellow" withdrawal (whatever that means), I am looking for other ways to help with my "issue". The moment I saw this picture of Shala Monroque (Editor of Pop magazine), it was like a ray of sunshine in a dark and cloudy day.lol. Yea I saw YELLOW. Take a look at the picture. It speaks for itself.

I love how she incorporated this ensemble. the nude shoes was perfect. I was able to fine a very cheap alternative for this outfit, knowing she must have spent a lot just to attain this look. Here we go and enjoy!

Home office inspiration

My husband has been talking alot lately about setting up a home office and I keep brushing it off. The moment he said he will go ahead and set it up, I immediately took more interest in it cause I know, he is fine with just having a desk, a chair and a computer and call it a day. I, on the other hand, will like to add a little bit of a feminine touch to it. Hey what can I say. We will be sharing that office space. :-)

Over the weekend hubby and I headed to North Carolina for a class reunion which lasted the entire weekend. It started out with a welcome dinner and we were asked to come in traditional wear. The second day(Saturday)started out with a soccer match followed by a black tie gala later on that night. On sunday there was a mass in church then a bbq. All in all, it was a great weekend. I only really have pictures of the gala.

I have been noticing alot of friends of mine, strangers and certain celebrities rocking jumpsuits this season. Yea it has been going on for a while but I think I'm just noticing more of it now since i fell in love with this piece I saw on Keri Hilson. Check out these Celebs.

So I had one of my friend/sister who is a fashion designer make a jumpsuit for me given the inspiration from the above celebs. I have been love with bright colors lately so I went with one of the boldest colors, yellow. Dont I look like a human banana lol!

My three year old daughter made me do this pose. Apparently that is the peace and love sign. Don't ask!

I'm not big on jewelry as you may have notice in all my pictures. Don't get me wrong, i love great jewelry but every time I put some or any on, I feel "weird". Anyways, I paired this with some clip on earrings I got from a vintage store as well as the clutch. My shoes are not visible at all but they were yellow with floral accents. My favorite shoes by the way.

I attended the African Community - Prince George's County Public-Private Partnership of Essence with The Honorable Rushern Baker 111, County Executive of Prince George's County last Friday(06/10/2011). This was an attempt to involve the US goverment in helping the students of Our Lady of Lourdes Secondary School (in Cameroon)with the different projects that are being administered by the former students.

Kerry Washington is one of my favorite effortless beautiful fabulous fashionista. She can do no wrong in my book.

I will not not say Meagan Good is one of my favorite fashionista because from time to time, I get a feel of her fashion sense as been a bit "trashy" (might be to harsh) but then again, everyone has a personal definition of what fashion is and there is no right on wrong in my book at least. I must say, she looks really gorgeous in this long cut out dress. There is no lie about it, she is a beautiful girl.

The queen of "white". For as long as I have known her, she has always worn white outfits. love this off shoulder dress, paired with jeweled sandals. tres chic!

Rihanna's style to me is evolving,(for lack of a better word). I liked the old Rihanna, but her style lately hasn't been my favorite but yet i think being in the entertainment industry, change is often necessary and besides whatever makes her happy is all that matters. Here she is at the Billboards award and I must say she really looks great. I have heard mixed reviews about this ensemble but she gets an A+ in my book. With the weather getting warmer, I might just opt for shorts rather than long pants. Definitely expect a post of "My version of..... look" in the future.

It seems a "diaper cake" is not well known in many communities. I have people asking questions like is it edible or what? Im not going to lie, I only knew about diaper cakes last year and would have posed the same questions if that was brought to my attention a year or so before.

Anyways I love the idea of a diaper cake as a center piece/conversational piece, or gift idea in a fun way for a babyshower. I had the opportunity to do one for this weekend and here is what I ended up with.

DIY: My first project

I have been trying to experiment with the current color block trend and I came across lots of inpirations. Finally decided to go with the blue,green and pink color combo. Seems simple right? Unfortunately i couldnt find a green dress i really liked. I looked online, went into stores. Nothing! Then i finally had this light bulb moment. Why dont I make one. So I headed to Joann's fabrics and bought some fabric and other things i would need in my first sewing process.Oh i forgot one little detail. I dont have a sewing machine so this dress was done by hand.

Yup. all of that was done by hand. I started out at 10pm on Friday night(dont ask why) and ended up at 4pm Saturday. Dont ask me why i went through all this stress. i was just determined and all i could visualize was the final product.So what do you think. Well i was heading out to a birthday party later on that saturday evening and this was the final product or should i say ensemble.

This weekend has undeniably been a wonderful one. Started off by having to work only half a day on Thursday, had Friday off then the weekend. My hubby,baby girl and I went to the national harbor this weekend and it was soooooo much fun. Well to start off the day, we had to tap into the interlectual side of the baby( I dont know why I still call her that even though she is 2 1/2 years old). We headed to the library and I must say it is definitely becoming more tolerable than before. When we started taking her to the library, we wouldnt last up to five minutes. She would want to run around, even into the adult section. She would throw away the books she didnt want to read. Scream at the top of voice. I tell you it was a nightmare. I must say this time around was quite intersting and well worth it.

This lasted a bit over half an hour which is truly an accomplishment given our history. Then we headed to the inner habor for more fun and witnessed the beautiful sunset

Isnt that just beautiful? There are a more amazing pictures but I honestly dont have the patience to upload all. I wish there was a shortcut to get it all in at once. Below a final photo up before we headed to dinner.

I am so in love with the background. Baby girl was a little cranky. Hunger, tiredness and everything combined was the cause of this facial expression. But it quickly changed as the day progressed. We then went to this beautiful asian restaurant (unfortunately I forgot the name. when i do, Ill definitely update this). It oversaw the water and we could see the sunset. The decor was exceptional and the food was to die for. It truly was an experience.

Our daughter had chicken nuggets. I tell you, I think one of these days she will grow wings. She loves Chicken.

I had lamb chops and these were so delicious and well worth it.

Later on that night, I went out to the opening of a new lounge by a dear friend. Pictures of that will be coming up later in the week or on next week's "what I'm wearing". It truly was great fun especially being there with my friends and meeting others I havent seen in ages.

What Im Wearing

Hello Fabulous ones,

Today is a start of new week even though I wasn't looking forward to it. I had a fabulous weekend with my family. Planned on attending a birthday party with my husband and daughter but I got so busy and tired after work that I had decided to stay home with the baby and let the hubby attend alone.On Saturday, for the first time, I went to the pumpkin patch with my daughter and husband and it was so much fun. Baby girl fell asleep just 15 minutes before we arrived and I wasn't about to have my husband turn around because of that. So when we arrived, baby girl was so cranky. Fortunately, 30 minutes into it, she came around and we had blast. We all went to church on Sunday then later to visit a family friend who was celebrating the life of her late husband. All in all it was a wonderful weekend.

While checking out recent runway looks on the web, I came across this picture that truly inspired what I'm wearing. Usually, Ill be a little bit skeptical about wearing such a bright/vibrant color from head to ...well knee (lol) but I think it works regardless. By the way, this was an accidental picture in that my hubby was trying to figure out what was wrong with his camera and I had just come in from work. I think I should have left my necklace on (it was gold) but unfortunately thats the only picture I had. So what do you think.

My Five Favorite Looks

Again, while browsing the web I come across certain fashion looks that got my attention. Im certainly more drawn to looks that can be seen on everyday people rather that the outrageous designs we somemtimes see on the runway. But of course I truly appreciate the hardwork of these designers.

I have a lot going on today so we will get to it. Check out the looks below:

Vanessa Simmons: Love the simplicity of her look. Oh and is that a new hair cut. Nice look lady.

Kim Kardashian. I can see she truly loves her Christian Louboutin leopard ankle boots. Obviously they are very versatile and Im just inlove with the outfit. Not to matchy. Definitly will have a post on what I came up with to mimick this look. Still waiting from my leopard ankle boots from alloy.com (check out yesterday's post for details).

Kelly Rowland. I had so many looks to choose from for her but this one especially stands out. I have noticed certain trends this season. Leopard and Fur. Kelly is doing this very well.

Some random picture I saw on the web. Loved the outfit. Those shoes are a bit too high and seem a bit uncomfortable. This looks like something I will be wearing this weekend when I head to the pumpkin patch with my family. I need to get my blue blazer tailored but everything looks exactly like the picture. I will be opting out on the heels though for black rainboots. Love the look nonetheless.

THE OTHER WOMAN

Relationships now-a- days are ending as quickly as they start. Those that survive often times go through so much turmoil that one has to think is it worth being in one. What is a relationship? I asked myself once. Why do most people need to have one? What is wrong with being alone? I quickly realized this was something that has been going on since the beginning of time. God created Adam then later believed he needed a companion of which He then created Eve. Here is a definition of a “relationship” that I found on the web: re•la•tion•ship (r -l sh n-sh p )
1. The condition or fact of being related; connection or association.
2. Connection by blood or marriage; kinship.
3. A particular type of connection existing between people related to or having dealings with each other: has a close relationship with his siblings.
4. A romantic or sexual involvement.

My except will be about the last part of the web’s definition of a relationship. A Romantic or sexual involvement. Many times people get those two confused with each other and this confusion often stems from a woman’s point of view. Our (woman’s) idea of a relationship is often misunderstood by the opposite sex that we even refuse to come to the realization that we are being terribly hurt by the situation. We want to believe things can change and that isn’t always the case.
With that all said and done, relationships are not easy to maintain, hence the topic of my except today. The other woman. With all the trials and tribulations. Ups and downs that go on with almost if not all relationships, there is one thing that we women have to deal with more often than others. This especially is appalling to me. I don’t care what level of commitment attained by both parties, I believe once a decision was made by the two to be in a monogamous relationship then there shouldn’t be any incident of “the other woman”.
Most of these other women are truly aware of this but yet they decide to turn a blind eye on the situation and selfishly work their way into trying to destroy a union. I use the term trying because if a relationship is governed by God and there is love, respect and trust in that relationship no outside force can break any bond.

Throughout the years I have been a “victim” and I have witnessed friends and family members become victims of the other woman. Sometimes I can’t help but shake my head when I notice the ridiculous things some of these women do just to get another woman’s man. Boundaries that are crossed. Comments that are made. Actions that are so obvious, even a blind person can tell something “fishy” is going on. Why will a woman continuously send text messages for hours at a time almost every day to another man in a committed relationship? I don’t care if it is just a harmless conversation. Sometimes it takes just one text message to take the conversation to a direction that can destroy a couple. I am not saying text messages are forbidden but texting for hours at a time is unnecessary. Phone calls past a certain time of the night just because you want to “talk” to someone. Why not call one of your girlfriends or single male friends. Why take pictures with someone’s man and put a heart frame, for example, around the picture and write all these love comments around this picture. I laughed so hard when a co-worker once showed me something like this. Obviously it was funny because that wasn’t me but I know I will be livid if that happened to me. That is utterly disrespectful.

Why do some women think its ok to keep buying gifts not because it’s his birthday or Christmas time or a major holiday, but because she saw something the man may like and thought she will buy it for him? My suggestions, why not put that money in a savings account or donate it to the poor. This man has a woman that will do that for him. Your intentions are obviously known whether you like it or not.

Every woman might have a similar experience of the things I have written on here and others may have more. In either case every relationship should have boundaries. Not understated boundaries. I mean sit down and talk about the things that might potentially cause more problems in your relationship. There should also a be a level of trust and respect. I believe most men are oblivious to the fact that there is another woman who is trying to get their attention or stray away from their relationship. These men often think “she is just being friendly” but I can say that as women we all know how we operate. That’s why we are often referred to as “detectives”. Most of the time better than the “dag-on” CIA.We can tell when another woman is crossing into our “territory”. In my case I just smile and pretend like I know or notice nothing at all then I pounce.

Which brings me to this question. Should any woman confront “the other woman”? I honestly say it depends on each woman. I personally think when it comes to a marriage, that cannot be compared to anything else. A marriage is like a contract. I’m almost certain that majority of the time “the other woman” has never been married. I look at it this way. She doesn’t know what it takes to be married. The bills that need to be paid. The stress that comes with having a child or children (if any). Having someone in your personal space for the rest of your life. Finding ways to cope with everyday situation. Going on day by day not knowing when the next meal will come. The arguments. The fights. The financial difficulties (number one reason for failing marriages) and so on and so forth. The last thing any woman will want is to deal with a distraction of that sort.

A lesson to be learned with this though will be the fact that once this is brought to the man’s attention, his attitude towards the situation may also determine if a woman should take that step and speak with the other woman. If he truly loves “his woman” then he will eliminate the distraction and if the other woman is persistent then I’ll definitely pounce in. if he has no respect for “his woman” and keeps up with this disrespectful act then to hell with him and the other woman. What’s the point of confronting or tackling a situation that is not beneficial to you? Either way this is easier said than done. Everyone knows and understands their relationship.
“The other woman” needs to realize some few things. If you have bad intentions, deliberately want to break up a relationship for your selfish reasons even after knowing that this man and woman love each other unconditionally then you are causing what is now defined as an “alienation of affection”. Apparently in some states the other woman is sued for causing such issues in “marriages”. I don’t know the extent of this in non marital relationship but it’s obvious that this is causing mayhem in society today. If this woman does succeed to get her way which will be to make this man leave his woman then I must say she will never be happy. There will always be the fear of your “new man” meeting other women. Resenting you so badly because they regret ever falling into your evil manipulations. Anxiety. Mistrust which can lead to health problems and possibly self destruction. Why will any woman want to be “the other woman” in the first place? Why would you want to be second to another woman in a man’s love life? He cannot walk hand in hand with you in public. He cannot proudly introduce you as his girl or whatever title that you wish.

If you watch the news often, you will notice a lot of headlines that make you wonder. A well polished beautiful, respectful and God fearing woman has just be arraigned for assault, attempted murder or even murder itself and sometimes suicide which could stem from depression. The pleadings in court are based on “temporal insanity”. A woman found out someone is threatening the likelihood of her happiness and she snaps. Then lots of questions are being raised. People giving testimonies about never foreseeing a behavior like and so on and so forth. So many lives are being affected and changed forever.
The moral of this story is people should be mindful of their actions. Be aware of the consequences of the things we do. Find your own man. You will never be happy if you end up succeeding in breaking a happy union. There are other lives that are being affected and most importantly KARMA!

My version of Cassie's Look

I was browsing the web the other day and came across this picture of Cassie in Paris and i was inlove with the look. Not so crazy about the jacket she has on but hey to each his/her own. What caught my attention was her how she rocked the boyfriend jeans and with those sexy pumps.

Here is my version of her look. Unfortunately I dont have a jacket or the scarf on cause it was a really really hot day. Forgive my hair in this picture as well. It was quite windy.

I think I have to give these shoes a rest. I love my blue shoes!!!!! LOL. It seems to go with a lot of pieces in my wardrobe. Well have a wonderful and blessed day. I got a lot on my plate today too.

What's your worth as a woman

Many women today don’t realize their self worth. We don’t realize how much power we have in the world today. We underestimate ourselves in so many levels which lead to heartaches, stress, anger, animosity. All these feelings can easily be avoided if we got our priorities right and realize how valuable we are as human beings.

We find ourselves subjected to identifying ourselves as being weak, frail, and defenseless. How can we let our worth be defined by society, in most cases the media? Not only is it crucial to identify your worth but it is essential we all do. Loving one’s self doesn’t require the approval of anyone but you. It is true that approval or compliments from others can help boost confidence. But this confidence has to first come from within. If this is not coming from within, then this acquired confidence can easily be destroyed by the same people that made you feel that way.

I can sit here and write about acknowledging our self worth all day but that really doesn’t help in anyway. Easier said than done right? We have to learn from the very beginning by pretending we know our personal value. With time we learn to accept what we have been telling ourselves all along. Do not allow anyone dictate what they believe our lives should be worth. Looking yourself in the mirror everyday and saying,” I am the best person I can be everyday”. Write down, everything that is good about you and dwell on that. Take time and do things by yourself. We tend to depend on others to enjoy the little pleasures life has to offer. Take a walk in the park. Think of something you are good at and work on it. Find a hobby. Sit in a quiet corner and read a book. Go to the beach and reflect on life. Look at all you have had to overcome over the years and see where you are today. If its not what you envisioned, then its time to make a change.

If you have noticed, successful women exude tremendous confidence in every aspect of their lives. They believe in their self worth. The believe they are the controller’s of their destiny. They believe their impact on this world, no matter what magnitude. Happiness, to me is the fundamental part of realizing our self worth. If one is happy with themselves, they are able to conquer all barriers.
Unhappiness leads to negativity which in turn affects others, most importantly affect us. Unhappiness can lead to envy, gossip, the feeling of wanting to destroy another’s life or bringing them down, not feeling wanted, low self esteem and so on.

Take a step back today. Make a decision about what path you want to take in your life. Do not allow anyone to dictate your self worth. Ask yourself tough questions. Ask yourself; Are you happy when you prey into people’s lives/homes and cause confusion? Does that make you feel worthy if you are successful in doing just that? Do you feel worthy by the number of men who claim they want to be with you? Do you feel worthy because you have a lot of friends? Is quantity better than quality (thanks Sandra lol), Do you feel worthy, when complimented everyday? Do you really feel deserving of the amount of money you spend on material things like clothes or shoes, etc. Don’t get me wrong. These material things definitely make one happy and in good spirits. But my point is not to depend on them solely in order to dictate your happiness and self worth. If your answer to any of these questions is yes then you have to reevaluate yourself. Make a change today!

Hi everyone. I have had a very busy day today but things are looking great. Enjoying the weather myself. It was so great taking the baby out and just enjoying the sun, playing in the park. she definitely had a great time.

I had a 3 part birthday celebration with most of my friends. But i had issues with my camera so i couldn't take pictures of everyone. Here is what i wore in one of the outings.As you can see I have an obsession with dresses that have dramatic backs. I had a post on this.I apologize for not having the pictures any clearer. I blame it on my friend who took the picture lol.
