So after much convincing (and almost signing a contract stating if anything goes wrong its not his fault), he finally did it for me.
I'm not going to lie. I was terrified of looking at the mirror. I ran my fingers through my hair and it made me nervous yet excited.I couldn't believe it at first but every time I looked at the mirror, it was an affirmation that I did the right thing.
I don't know about everyone else who did the big chop, but for some odd reason, I expected that on day one, my hair will be become curly after the condition. WRONG!!!! I did a "twist out" the first day. EPIC FAIL. I started doubting myself if I was doing the right thing. One thing I forgot to realize is that, those girls on YouTube either have different hair texture, use certain products that work for their hair and most importantly have been doing this for a long time. Yea, I started second guessing myself, if this was the right thing I did lol
So what have I been using so far on my hair? Honestly, I never had a list of specific products. I knew I needed a conditioner, shea butter, and moisturizer. So I bought Pantene Pro-v leave in condition. I had some african raw shea butter(bought it a while ago and used on my daughter's hair), care and curl curl activator. The care and curl activator actually works. I can see little curls forming already in my hair which is great.

One thing that I really hate the most about this process is the dryness of my hair. I feel like I have to go swim in an ocean to get my hair soft. Other than that, I'm loving it. I might be getting it braided soon though, cause I would like the length a little longer.
So tell me, for all the natural hair sister, any advice?

It's extremely flattering on you. I still waiver on the big chop myself.
FYI, dryness is the major culprit to natural hair. A friend of mine keeps a misting bottle with essential oils with her.
You can get great tips from Afrobella: www.afrobella.com/
Best of luck!
Thanks Ladies. @lashaune thanks so much for there tip. Heading to that site
You look gorgeous!
I'd recommend mixing the shea butter with an essential oil and slatherin that in also miss Jessie products are always a great help not tomention I think they're 2 for one till the end of he month so you might want to look into those seeing as how theyre extremely expensive otherwise but totally worth it!
Did I tell you you look beautiful et because you do!

Congratulation on doing the big chop. I did mines about two months ago and its great. Dryiness is the death of natural hair. Plus I get lazy too. You have to train your hair to do what you want to do. This come with trial and error of products. You look great with your twa. To get comfortable with your hair I would recommend wearing braids, wigs or scarves.
im loving this. thanks so much ladies for the great tips.
Nice hair look and love your necklace!
